About This Opportunity
As college basketball programs increasingly adopt front-office structures once reserved for the professional ranks, athletic departments are creating General Manager roles to oversee roster construction, NIL and Collective budget strategy, recruiting and transfer portal operations, and support for the head coach and coaching staff. Peak Scouts is building a network of basketball-specific front-office talent — from professional scouting and personnel backgrounds to collegiate operations leaders — ready to step into these roles as they open.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in player personnel, roster management, scouting, or front-office operations for basketball (collegiate or professional)
- Understanding of NIL and Collective budgeting, roster valuation, and basketball revenue-sport economics
- Comfort engaging directly with boosters, donors, and collective leadership as part of roster funding strategy
- Strong evaluator of basketball talent and staff, with experience building or managing a personnel department or unit
- Familiarity with the transfer portal, recruiting calendar, and roster-construction pressures unique to college basketball
- Comfort operating in a fast-changing regulatory and financial environment
